BÁÑATE

In this ritual, I aspired to subvert the common interpretation of blood—both within the history of performance art and in everyday life—as an element of shock, using it instead as a purifying and erotic fluid.

 

I used seven metallic pails full of blood, one for each day of the week, to clean every part of my body slowly and sensually for Báñate (Bathe Yourself).
