ANTIMEMORIAS: ENMIENDAS PÚBLICAS

Based on women’s testimonies, Antimemorias: Enmiendas públicas (Anti-Memories: Public Amendments) was an open space for healing gender violence. During the performance, audience members had the opportunity of curing specific episodes of violence on my body, that metaphorically operated as the collective body of Mexican women who are violence victims. Afterwards, each participant addressed the violence they themselves had endured and, finally, they left a recipe describing actions they imagined o had already attempted to deal with violence against women.

Antimemorias: Enmiendas públicas was produced in collaboration with Aurora Montaño Barbosa, Carol Montealegre, Cecilia Guzmán, Cynthia Delgado, Dulce María Martínez, Eufrosina Rodríguez & Ulianova Rasgado.
