Between 1985 and 2006, more than twenty women committed suicide attacks in different cities around the world, killing at least 500 people and injuring a similar number. Cartografía shahida (Shahida Cartography) intended to call attention to this tragic and controversial phenomenon and its disastrous repercussions.

The performance consisted of geographically marking the suicide attacks carried out by women on a map of the Middle East and Asia, where they were committed. An audio narrated the events while I sanded down each location with a photograph of the responsible women. Then, I placed the remains, red powder, inside a small urn.
